Interrogation of Former Officials Involved in Corruption Cases

The Iraqi Council of Ministers gave instructions to all provincial councils to confiscate diplomatic and service passports from former chairpersons and members of the provincial councils as a measure to prevent suspects accused of financial and administrative corruption from traveling abroad until the investigations have been completed. Government agencies entrusted with combating corruption obtained evidence and documents confirming the involvement of some members in corruption.
