New Authority from Lebanon joins Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network

The Higher Committee for Discipline of the Republic of Lebanon has completed the process of its accession to the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network, thus becoming the 45th member alongside other ministries and official authorities from 17 Arab countries, 2 observer members from Brazil and Malaysia and a “Non-Governmental Group composed of 20 independent organizations representing civil society, business and academia.
Judge Marwan Abboud currently heads the authority which was established in 1965 and which is an administrative court with judicial character playing an important anti-corruption role in public administration, public institutions and municipalities and imposing disciplinary measures. The authority is linked to the Prime Minister.
