Amman, Jordan,
11/24/2024 - 11/25/2024
Organized by: The Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) and UNDP
The Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission (JIACC) is collaborating with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) to integrate and institutionalize sectoral corruption risk management capacities in its policies and programmes, with a view to supporting broader public administration reforms. This is expected to contribute to the effective implementation of the National Integrity and Anti-Corruption Strategy (2020-2025) while also informing future strategies and related initiatives and fostering connections between the implementation of the UN Convention against Corruption (UNCAC) and the achievement of better developmental outcomes bringing Jordan closer to achieving the targets set in its national development plans and Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development.
To this end, JIACC and UNDP partnered to organize a specialized training on sectoral corruption risk management in Amman, Jordan, on 24-25 November 2024, with the support of the Korean International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) in the framework of its regional partnership with UNDP on promoting anti-corruption and integrity in the Arab countries. The training builds on related efforts that have been undertaken by JIACC and similar initiatives that were supported by UNDP in the region and beyond, most prominently in the framework of its partnership with KOICA, and in collaboration with the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries (ACINET).
