Sectoral bilateral meetings in the framework of the first national anti-corruption strategy and its implementation plan

In the framework of finalizing the first National Anti-Corruption Strategy, UNDP’s regional project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in Arab Countries (ACIAC) organized several sectoral bilateral meetings on 8-9 March 2018 in Beirut, Lebanon. On Wednesday 8 March 2018, ACIAC team met with Mr. Badi Daher, general director of customs, Mr. Jean Allieh, general director of procurement administration and Mr. Georges Mouarawi, general director of real estate. On Thursday 9 March 2018, two addition meetings were held, one with the head of tax legislation department Dr. Walid El Chaar and another with the representative of the ministry of education Dr. Najat Gedeon. The main objective was to engage sectors in the national anti-corruption strategy and its implementation plan through taking into consideration their recommendations on the measures of corruption mitigation and prevention.
