Regional Roundtable "Youth & Corruption in Arab countries: perspectives and expectations for a secure future"

Organized by: UNDP-ACIAC in cooperation with the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET)

Within the framework of the launching ceremony of the Arab Human Development Report 2016, UNDP-ACIAC organized in collaboration with ACINET a Regional Roundtable on "Youth & Corruption in Arab countries: perspectives and expectations for a secure future". The session was attended by more than 30 participants, including professors, university students, representatives of civil society and political parties.
Based on the outcomes of this session, the regional "Universities Against Corruption" initiative was launched which aims to:
• Building the capacity of students and teachers through extracurricular activities.
• Incorporate educational materials into the curricula of participating universities.
• Support the establishment of Integrity Clubs in participating universities.
The regional project announced its readiness to support the activities of the partners interested in this initiative.
This event builds on previous activities and similar work done in several countries around the world, and the region, particularly in Egypt and Lebanon.
