Preventing and Combatting Corruption for Sustainable Development in Egypt

Upon the initiative of the Ministry of International Cooperation in the Arab Republic of Egypt, a special training on “Preventing and Combatting Corruption for Sustainable Development in Egypt” is held in New York on 16-17 May 2016, with the joint support of UNDP’s Bureau for Policy and Programme Support and the UNDP Regional Office for Arab States. Participants to the special training include the Director of Special Operations Sector at the Egyptian Administrative Control Authority and five of its members. It aims at enabling them to interact with key specialized international expertise on preventing and combating corruption and familiarizing them with key global developments in this regard, related UN efforts as well as with the latest methods that can be used in the framework of the national anti-corruption strategy adopted in 2014 with a view to contributing to the achievement of “Egypt’s Vision 2030”. The workshop is organized around two roundtables in addition to five working sessions including specialized presentations by high-level experts enabling an interactive discussion on potential cooperation areas in the future.
