National Workshop on Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Financial Disclosure System in Palestine

Organized by: UNDP-ACIAC, UNODC, PACC and ACINET

The Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) in partnership with the Arab Anti-Corruption and Integrity Network (ACINET) and with joint support of UNDP and UNODC organized a national workshop on ”Enhancing the Effectiveness of the Financial Disclosure System in Palestine”. The event was held in Ramallah on 11 and 12 May 2015, and it was attended by 62 participants representing key institutions from the public sector, civil society, academia, in addition to regional and international experts and specialists. The workshop deepened participants' understanding of the requirements for effective financial disclosure systems in light of related international and regional standards and comparative experiences, and enabled them to formulate concrete recommendations to enhance the system in Palestine in line with national needs and priorities.
