Expert Meeting on the Access to Information Bill in Palestine

An expert meeting was held in Amman (Jordan) on 26-27 April 2014 to continue working on the development of the access to information bill in Palestine. This meeting was organized in partnership between the Palestinian Anti-Corruption Commission (PACC) and UNDP’s Regional project on Anti-Corruption and Integrity in the Arab Countries (ACIAC). It was attended by members of the Council of Ministers’ legislative drafting committee and members of PACC, in addition to specialized experts. The meeting enhanced the access to information bill making it more compatible with relevant international standards and good practices and lessons learned from comparative experiences, in preparation for its submission to the President of the Palestinian National Authority for its launching.
